The problem with modern Star Wars is that it doesn't feel like Star Wars. Where is the music? where is the classic storytelling? and why we are concentrating on average people when the story of Star Wars has always been about the rise of a hero?. To be fair... in my opinion Star Wars doesn't feel like Star Wars since the Phantom Menace. Before the debut of Phantom Menace I almost burn the original trilogy VHS tapes watching them again and again and I was so excited for the new movie and when I saw Phantom Menace I was like...what the heck is this? ( especially when I saw Jar Jar and that whole political stuff). Star Wars is a fantasy story in space. We have the hero living his life until fate puts him on a quest to save the world ( or the galaxy in Star Wars case), we have the wizard that gives him the tools that will eventually help him to be victorious, there's also the princess that must be rescued and the big evil that must be stopped. Disney had all the tools to make the sequel trilogy legendary. Instead they misused the original cast and never really put over the new generation. I lost faith in the sequel trilogy the moment Kylo Ren took his mask off and began having a temper tantrum. By the second movie my interest was dead when they unceremoniously took Snoke out ( the mystery of his identity their biggest draw). The third movie was a moment of realization for Disney... Oh wait! this is the last movie and we have nothing!! quick contact ian McDiarmid!.

Besides, she hasn't looked like a 16-year-old queen for a long time. Recently shot out of a window in her chateau in France with a shotgun because a passer-by looked like Benjamin Millepied." "Ewan McGregor?" "He's now also Balla-Balla and after 20 seasons he really thinks he's this Obi Wan." .. "The only one who is still alive is the guy who played that Jar Jar back then." "Heyyy! I have an idea!"
That won't happen for a very long time, if ever.. Disney may have ruined their shot, but they know another company would have more success with it; therefore Disney would only sell it at a price that reflects that future success.

Acolyte was absolutely horrible but andor wasn’t much better, that show was so dry, I don’t want those writers touching any other projects, nor will I be watching season 2 of that garbage
I wish that could happen but we know it won’t. But there is a good 20 years or so between ROTJ and TFA. There are plenty of stories they could out there to make us forget about the sequel trilogy.
They won't because it would offend the people involved, but what they could and should do is simply establish legends as its own timeline and hire the right people (those who were part of it before) to continue from where it left off, while also continuing disney canon less and less until it's quietly put down via lack of interest. I don't mean an MCU styled multiverse either but there being entirely separate star wars continuities, as separate from one another as they are from pokemon or hello kitty, this is the only way to save star wars. I do fear them ruining the legends timeline though so they could just create an entirely new one or a new version of it, either way multiple canon's is the only way they can salvage star wars because it allows the sequels to be quarantined into their own realm of garbage, without having to explicitly erase them.
Too much of a product that isn’t quality. Star Wars is, essentially, wizards in space (with a few exceptions like R1 and Andor). Stop making sub-par shows, gaslighting your audience, stop with the identity politics, and stick with what works. People want to escape for a few hours. Let them enjoy the experience.
I agree, and wizards and cowboys in a future galactic theater, amazing. That’s all I need. As they fuck up with the stuff you mentioned, it muddies it.
I think that Star Wars honestly could get better even under Disney If they let John Favreau Run it with a little bit of help From Filoni without Kennedys interference its ez to see that Kathleen Kennedy interfered after Mandalorian season 2 with the firing of Gina Carano then her interference happened Immediately with the book of boba fet with them taking Baby Yoda away from Luke immediately. It could get better but Will they let them make it better. Maybe not perfect but it could be better.
Yeah, if those fools just followed the damn blue print, they wouldn't be in this position. It's wild... creative control can ruin established properties. We're seeing this exact same situation with the house of the Dragon season 2. This is unfortunate because I thought season 1 was exceptional
@@lookingforwookiecopilot No it didn't lol. Nothing since the prequels was any good aside from Rogue one and the Mandalorian season 1/2 Get out of here . All of everything else especially The Acolyte and Kenobi were terrible. The prequels weren't bad you're an idiot lol they just weren't great but they were good especially the phantom menace.
It already has come back and it’s not going anywhere any time soon. Disney will just find new fans if you refuse to accept that they own it and will never give it up.
If the new SW movies were "a success", as you say, then why Disney decided to stop making movies 5 years ago? And why the plans to make another one sometime in the future still don't have script not director?
If Luke had the ability to see the future and what Kylo’s path would be, he could have chosen not to attempt to kill Kylo Ren and worked to embrace him and keep him from falling to the dark side. Together they could have fought the rise of the First Order. Han and Leah could be saved and changed the entire outcome.
I'm just a regular joe, with no social media channels or RUclips channels, and I found modern Star Wars to be pretty poor. and after a while it became obvious why. because they want to put agenda in all their shows. and they hire people that don't know anything about Star Wars.
The sequels may have turned a profit in theaters but I can guarantee the money they make from sequel toys and merchandise is abysmal compared the OT and the Prequels. I bet even Mando merchandise makes more cuz of baby yoda alone
sequels only made money because of the hype of a new star wars movie in a decade and the continuation of the story that occurred 40 years ago. It was just inevitable that it would get people in seats.
The problem right now facing Star Wars is not a lack of content or too much content..........the problem is that Disney is out of touch with the auidence. They focus on woke politicis and agendas that have alienated fans. Every project since Rogue One has been the same song and dance with the exception of Andor and season one of the Mandalorian. And that song and dance is they make a terrible show that fewer people like. Then when it fails they blame "toxic fans". They more they double down, the more people walk away. And this will continue until the powers that be at Disney realize that it's a sinking ship. And the only way to actually fix Star Wars is to purge the woke agenda and focus on actually creating quality Star Wars content. No agendas, no attacking fans, no woke politics, no Kathleen Kennedy and the whole "force is female" garbage. Tell stories that people actually are willing to spend their hard earned money to see and they'll watch it.
The best thing Ahsoka season 2 could do is to use the World Between Worlds, have there be a big, shiny reset button in there, and have Ahsoka press it.
The only great reset I would like from Star Wars is for Disney to finally pass the IP on to someone else who cares about the fans and the source material. They have done a decent job with a few things here and there, but overall have run the franchise aground, stripped it for parts, and left it to rot.
@@winstonsmith6204 Or George Lucas LOL. Why not? Disney bought Power Rangers, ran it into the ground, and then sold it back to the original owner for less money. They basically paid money to rent it and then returned it to the same owner!
@@davidm4566 There was actually talk about George Lucas repurchasing it not that long ago. I'm not sure how much credibility it had; but there were rumors that there were board-meeting talks because of the fact that they were losing so much money.
Agreed. Honestly getting tired of it always being around the Skywalker Saga era. Theirs so much potential for stories set outside that point. Show us stuff we haven't seen on screen like the rise of both the Jedi and how the Sith split off.
@@brittanyjtaylor2638 I agree that anti Kathleen Kennedy activists ruined the show before it was even released, but Disney is not going to see it that way. Instead what they’ll see is that they can’t try anything new because the fans will hate it. We are once again seeing it with Outlaws, where political activists are hating on the game without even playing it, and Disney is going to interpret the wrong message.
@@dieselsucker565 Definitely. Although I'm assuming the original post meant everything post RoTJ chronologically in the timeline, rather than anything produced since RoTJ
When I talk to people, I find that the sequels have killed the excitement for Star Wars simply because of what they did to Anakin. It was always about the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker. The sequels basically erased the meaning of everything. Without that, what is there to watch? What's the great story if it has nothing to tie into but a name (Star Wars) and not a person we're emotionally bought into?
You would think if Disney+ was so important to Disney they would've made good content for it. I don't think Disney understands Star Wars at all and making less content won't help anything. Even if we only got one new show a year, The Acolyte is still a bad show.
The crazy thing is it really is that simple. Put them in an "alternative timeline" and forget them. Then the post RotJ era is wide open again, to do right, hopefully Would bring a lot of fans back and rake in money
They destroy a brand for an entire decade and only want to reverse course once they see they are losing money. Fans told them this wouldn't work and they gave everyone the finger. I'm not coming back to Star Wars.
I definitely want as much Star Wars as Lucasfilm is willing to throw at me. But if that means compromising on quality and overall success, then I'm all for dialing it back. I would rather they focus on getting it right.
I can't with the Mortis Gods. The more I revisit the story, the more Star Wars ended in 2003. Filoni really did introduce to much canon breaking stories that I just can't. Ahsoka as Anakin's acolyte, Not sure I like the Bendu, Despise the Mortis arc. It died for me before Disney bought it.
If they're gonna actually make a reset, they need to decanonize their crap and sell the franchise to someone who's actually competent enough to run the franchise, someone who actually knows star wars. I just don't trust Disney anymore, and I'll never forgive them for decanonizing the eu, ruining Luke, and backstabbing George Lucas!
that Acolyte has got to be the worst in destroying so much of the lore of star Wars. I loved Obi wan, that should have been considered over this stretch of anti Star Wars. I think a respite from the last show and hopefully some kind of re direct can only help. The only thing I enjolyed about that show was the reviews from different channels. I do enjoy the review shows, but it all became a great chuckle with everyone seeing the inane story lines. I will NOIT miss the mie humor. A STAR WARS like Andor, Rebels, going back and giving Obi wan a second chance which is a better chance than that wacko ""power of DONE". tHANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR REVIEW.
If you give them money, REGARDLESS of what show it is, they will spend 90% on SJW garbage and 10% to get suckers to keep thinking the should give this new show just one more shot.
Bob Iger is the reason why both Marvel and Star Wars is garbage. The sequel trilogy is the worst Star Wars that’s ever been created followed by the Acolyte, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka. Bob Iger and KK gtg. There will be no good Star Wars content until they are gone.
Filoni is doing more than Kennedy. As soon as he started interfering in Mandalorian it started going downhill. He also was the one who pushed for the Acolyte to be made. And if you care about continuity, he's running riot through it all. Making anything from minor retcons (Yoda's Lightsaber) to huge retcons that remove entire stories from the canon (Ahsoka Novel, Dark Disciple, Kanan comic series).
@lord_egg It's all been removed. Disney came right out and said - anything they didn't create; no longer exists in the Star-Wars universe. (Outside of the original movies obviously.)
There's so much established star wars content and characters to use out there that Disney has no excuse anymore to keep getting it wrong. All they need to do is tap into the massive well stories and stay true to the material and they won't fail. Dear Disney, STOP BRINGING YOUR POLITICS INTO OUR STAR WARS
Even if you dry clean the sheets you'll always know that someone shat the bed. I have no faith in Starwars getting back on track. I have less faith that anybody can agree on what "on track" even is anymore.
That's because they've diversified their fandom too much. Now instead of it being a huge thing in pop culture whenever a new movie comes out and a nerd thing in the inbetween they've tried to keep it constantly in the spotlight, which has pushed out it's more nerdy fanbase (By nerdy fanbase, I refer to the people who prioritise lore and the expanded content (Books, Games, Comics)). And seeing as the nerds kept Star Wars funded by buying all it's expanded content but now they don't care and the new fandom is filled with surface level fans (ones who don't care too much about the canon or the expanded content), which is fine but it prevents it from reaching the success that it used to have.
I find it kinda funny that the two projects I was most interested in on that revieal board of all the planned movies and series were the first ones to be scratched. Rouge Squadron, and Rangers.
A reset happened in 2014 when disney reset the canon to begin their star wars stories. This sounds more like a course correction in comparison to the big 2014 reset. I think it's good they are making an adjustment. I won't make a prediction of success. I'd rather wish them success in the hope for better Star Wars stories to come. I would be fine with another big canon reset sometime in the future keeping only the best Lucas and Disney stories as canon and moving the rest to EU. Why not get more mountains of money to tell the Star Wars stories again at a fresh starting point for new generations without even having to buy the franchise again.
Can I just say I loved your outro closer and finishing statements, you are a true supporter of the community of Star Wars and a good voice to listen to and take solace in for all us fans - thank you
Bob Iger stayed on at Disney as Chairman when Chepek was CEO making Iger his boss. Not only that but Iger said he was going to focus more on creative and less on the day to day after Chepek became CEO. So while I agree things do seem to be turning around. I don't think you can pin it all on Chepek. At least not if you take Iger at his word.
Exactly! If you keep telling me filet mignon is for dinner, but serve me dog food instead? Eventually I’ll just stop accepting the invitation because I know better.
A Star Wars reset is easy. One, they have a huge galaxy sandbox to play in. Two, the timeline can be moved. The Skywalker clan are not the only characters in the galaxy. Create new characters, new situations, political dynamics, use the same races and their traits but different motivations. Star Wars KOTOR is a great example of this.
No fan wants woke politics in our SW shows and films. and the Kathy Kennedy idea of SW women being smart and men being dumb is killing not just shows and movies but merchendising as well.
@Gregory11811 no, its just that DEI isnt necessary in a franchise thats been diverse and inclusive from the beginning? why sacrifice the story to make more forced diversity the centerpiece that the rest of any script has to revolve around??? Even if you're a sweet baby cuck and love DEI, star wars is the last franchise that ever needed it.
@@Gregory11811 When you hire writers and directors based on their sex and skin color instead of their skills--that is what DEI is all about, and that's why you get crap like everything Disney has churned out. No one cares about what the actors look like, as long as they CAN act.
What do you saying? Are you saying that Star Wars will get a reboot just like DC. did and just like marvel will But wait, are we going to see Full Potential Anakin Skywalker and the reboot or are we going to see him in the Ahsoka TV? season 2 also i still think their is hope for the acolyte season 2 or some new tv show or movie to continue were it left off
I was SO hyped after season two of Mando . They’d won me back , loved Andor , but currently no one in our household cares about the future of Star Wars , and that’s kind of sad .
There are a few reasons why the shows are underwhelming. 1. The way they feel produced like movies and then split into the episodes afterwards. This has led to pacing issues and nearly every show having a filler episode. 2. They don't feel like Star Wars at times and try to be things they're not. The likes of Andor that though it is good TV try to be a prestigious drama instead of a fun adventure. That's why the first six films were so successful because they captured the imagination of the whole audience and had its base story of good vs. evil on the surface and underlying themes in politics for the adults to pick up on. 3. The Acolyte ruined lore by establishing a Sith that shouldn't exist and is a foregone conclusion story based on world building from the prequels and other works. Compared to Obi-Wan Kenobi, in which its premise may feel it breaks lore, it doesn't as it was never said in A New Hope where Vader last seen Obi-Wan, they took the narrative freedom given by the film. They should be doing that with lore established in the sequels and use the shows to show why Luke Skywalker considered such a legend and how he started rebuilding the Jedi Order, the establishment of The New Republic, how organised crime increased in the Galaxy. That's without even touching The Old Republic or the Jedi Purge, and they got a few show ideas just from the time between Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens. 4. Throwing a message in fans faces. Look at the Original Trilogy and Prequel Trilogy and you'll see the messages Lucas was trying to get across aren't thrown in your face but hidden that makes them hit more once you notice them. People don't watch TV for a moral message there's enough of that in the real world. They watch TV and films, especially Star Wars to escape to this wonderful Galaxy where their problems don't exist.
I think it’s not just the volume of content, but the quality and then the relationship between the two. If having less content on D+ means they can increase the quality of the story telling, in the theatre and streaming, then I’m all for it.
Can you imagine being handed the keys to one of the most popular story franchises in human history and your decision is to destroy it after paying 4.5 billion $. Literally makes zero sense.
there is so much good content coming from the old republic era that is no longer cannon, I dont understand why they dont tap into that where there is a compelling story to long term fans while still being friendly to new viewers since there needs to be no prior knowledge of any of the media. darth malgus and nihilus make great antagonists while still being different and refreshing. or even tell a story about palpatines early days as a sith
Dave created the World Between Worlds for a reason. The fact that it’s amounted to nothing so far, just screams that they’re waiting for KK and her loyalists to be gone so they can erase Rey and the Sequel trilogy
All Dismal Disney will do is try to draw out & delay production of Star Bores projects. Bringing And-Bor & Ahsoka back is one thing. No issues with the actors, but a crap script is what it is! The actors can only do so much to off set that! 😊
Nice informative video mate. I must have been under a rock or something but I didn't realise we were only getting one show next year 😢😢😢 I'm old enough to remember having to wait years for star wars content and for the most part have enjoyed getting some of streaming shows: mandalorian, Boba fett, kenobi, ahsoka. Not always perfect, but ive had fun. The worst part was putting up with people endlessly whining on youtube. Sure not all of its been perfect (Acolyte) but I've preferred it to the films Disney produced, they didn5 even bother to plan the sequel trilogy out, so I worry about them focusing on films.
Thanks man, yeah I’m in a similar boat, I couldn’t wait for The Force Awakens to come out in 2015. I wasn’t really sure on what to expect from the D+ shows but overall it’s been a fun ride, I’m hoping the sequel trilogy proves to be somewhat of a learning curve for them going forward in regards to new movies 👍
Disney have made their money from Star Wars via merchandise sales as opposed to box office earnings and Disney+ .......They reportedly make about a billion in merchandise sales annually.
Acolyte failed because it wasn't KOTR. They tried to appeal to its idea without honoring the original storyline. We never got Darth Revan, Nihilus, or Bane in live action. They could have resurrected Lucas's original plans for the sequels but they scrapped it all instead of tastefully amending it. Sure they probably would have messed it up anyway by the inclusive pandering but it was certainly better than playing each movie by ear. The beauty of star wars is in the concept pf "in media res" which is beginning a story at the end. We knew how the story ended with the prequels, and the joy of it was finding out how the original storyline came to be. It's the lore and the dedication to a fictional universe thats so engaging. They definitely missed the magic of it because it's not just a story of good vs. evil, its the stories about how negligence can lead to the subjects demise- dramatic irony, how even though intentions may be good, we're all capable of succumbing to our own hubris and bringing forth horrible consequences, how one thought to be too far gone could still have a chance at redemption, and how we don't have to accept defeat while staring in it's eyes. Very adult and philosophical story arcs, made PG/PG-13 digestible are what make people of all ages love Star Wars and that's the fundamental core of what they seem to miss, even after they get it right once or twice. that's why it's so hard to make their money back, because it seems blatantly obvious that making the investment back is all they're thinking about.
The problem Disney has is not what mixture of small versus big screen they're doing. The problem is, they increasingly suck at telling good stories, and they either don't understand, or outright hate Star Wars, so they are actively trying to twist it into something anti-Star Wars. Literally the same thing has been happening with the BBC and Doctor Who, and with Disney acquiring that, it will be the exact same issue: they'll continue to destroy Doctor Who in the way they've destroyed Star Wars, and the BBC already destroyed Doctor Who. It's time to remember what makes a good story, abandon established franchises, fire all top management, and get good talent making good, original stories. Not an easy task, but it is the only way any entertainment company is going to make anything that is not completely horrible.
In my view, Disney do not have an issue with their other IP Marvel Studios yet poor content in the Star Wars IP is blamed on Disney, rather than the Heads in charge.....
Bottom line is that Bob Iger bought Star Wars specifically to fight his culture war. He wasn't worried about making money. As long as he is in charge, Disney will produce subpar content in the attempt to engineer society. The only change I foresee in the next wave of content is that they will be more subtle in the messaging. I was there in '77 when the original hit theaters. It fundamentally changed my life. I despise Iger for what he has done to it.
Mistakes were made. Disney was in such a rush to capitalize on their new asset that they didn’t even catch their own mistakes. In too many cases they failed to see what it was the people liked in existing character’s/stories and even changed the narrative on new characters/shows fans were enjoying. Then Disney blamed the fandom for reacting. In short, the mouse got over eager and went off prematurely… Leaving us all a little unsatisfied
I think whether its tv or movies, the focus on having the stories gel well with canon stories that resonate with the most people is important. Personally i think it would depend on which shows or movies are focused on. Maybe too much of all the above can lower quality though, since less attention ends up being given to some projects over others, but that’s just a guess, I don’t know what actually goes on inside the studios. I really thought Ashoka builds very well upon what the Rebels series left behind, the storytelling is fantastic. Sure there are some plot holes but Star Wars being for all ages, i can get why some plot holes exist, though I feel that is more a writing issue and won’t go on more there. I am excited for Ashoka season 2, and especially Baylan and the Morris arc, and am actually curious how Obi wan season two will look. If there is a mandalorian movie i would of course go and see that. The show was great in my opinion though i hoped to see a following season rather than film. Although the plot of finding and protecting the child was achieved so I can understand it just becoming a film at this point.
Star War should not just only be on streaming but also on DVD as well not ever one can get streaming for any reason, and they should care about they're fans
I'm old and dated, but plz explain when and why Disney swapped a simple good, light, selfless vs bar, dark, selfish for some nihilistic version of relativism? Its sad to see every old hero be destroyed for this nonsense
I stopped watching at 0:55 As long as Kathleen Kennedy has anything to do with SW even remotely, the true fans should boycott it. When Dave Filoni gets 100% of control, than there is a hope.
All of those streaming shows were already slated by Iger when Chapek came on board. Disney Star Wars is in limbo currently. The Rey film appears to have been canceled as well.
George Lucas is Anakin. He was the chosen one when he made 1977, he got stronger with Empire and finished the OT on a down turn but still high.. His first taste of failure just like when Anakin lost a hand at the end of 2. Then he made the prequels... He was arrogant and thought he could do anything. The backlash to Phantom Menace broke his heart and made him fear the fans, the fear let to hate and by the time the prequels were done he hated the fans. This made him sell to Disney... fear leads to hate and hate leads to suffering. Now his creation is owned by the empire and he is suffering. Perhaps if things get bad enough Disney will sell him back the franchise and he will be able to make one last movie before he dies but I doubt it. There will be no redemption for George Anakin Lucas.
With so many books and comic stories... Why couldn't Disney stay on topic and make these live action series and movies with these stories in mind? There's no need for writers that know nothing about Star Wars and trying to invent the wheel when they have so much material to take from... It has nothing to do with the fact that there's too much Star Wars that people are tired of... It has a lot to do with inexperienced "know nothing about the genre" hacks trying to write/make a garbage story...Unbelievable.
Those Star Wars films did not make as much money as people thought. They all costed more than what was originally alleged. Also did they push merchandise? Honestly, I don't think so.
If they think things aren't going well because there is too much star wars saturation, then that means they don't realize that 99% of the stuff they've made has been very bad. If they don't get this then there is no possible way that things can improve. So just forget about it. Leave it alone. Really though, you have this star wars universe you can do ANYTHING in, but for some reason they are incapable of making something good. Seems like it would be a slam dunk. People put out good and interesting movies every year, it is possible, I've seen it!
I can see why ppl would cling to an absolute canon, but there is a reason why Batman would probably last 100 years, and Star Wars barely makes it to 50... canon FLEXIBILITY
It had some decent scenes. Should have been a movie. Edited to be better. The kung fu fight scenes was new and unique and the lightsabers scenes were actually top notch even tho most people won’t admit it, they just had terrible terrible writing. Hell even the ninja knives for the Carrie Moss kill and the poison was both cool scenes and good ideas if maybe executed poorly.
not very high quality story telling with the last show, I couldn't watch it all it was so bad a story. I hope they do better, I have watched star wars for years and would like to see them succeed with new children's G/PG shows

I still pretend that we never received a sequel trilogy.
Erase the trash prequels too as well 😊
They won't because it would offend the people involved, but what they could and should do is simply establish legends as its own timeline and hire the right people (those who were part of it before) to continue from where it left off, while also continuing disney canon less and less until it's quietly put down via lack of interest.
Lessons have been learned: don't let a franchise with potential in the hands of a woke/corrupted business.
SW Reset won’t happen until KK is gone
Too much of a product that isn’t quality. Star Wars is, essentially, wizards in space (with a few exceptions like R1 and Andor). Stop making sub-par shows, gaslighting your audience, stop with the identity politics, and stick with what works. People want to escape for a few hours. Let them enjoy the experience.
This well said. Make a show with interesting characters that we want to see grow into more.
I agree, and wizards and cowboys in a future galactic theater, amazing. That’s all I need. As they fuck up with the stuff you mentioned, it muddies it.
you're in denial if you think star wars will make a comeback in the hands of disney
It did come back though, after the prequels practically buried it in obscurity.
Have Mando press it and you have a plan...
The World Between Worlds is a dumb premise and by that stage just create a multiverse.
The only great reset I would like from Star Wars is for Disney to finally pass the IP on to someone else who cares about the fans and the source material.
They have done a decent job with a few things here and there, but overall have run the franchise aground, stripped it for parts, and left it to rot.
Who could purchase it?
@@winstonsmith6204 Anyone. Maybe Dreamworks or some wealthy individual or something.
@@winstonsmith6204 Or George Lucas LOL. Why not? Disney bought Power Rangers, ran it into the ground, and then sold it back to the original owner for less money. They basically paid money to rent it and then returned it to the same owner!

Agreed. Honestly getting tired of it always being around the Skywalker Saga era. Theirs so much potential for stories set outside that point.
Show us stuff we haven't seen on screen like the rise of both the Jedi and how the Sith split off.

We just got that and the Fandom Menace hated it.
@@MJJFilms it was mostly bc activism
@@brittanyjtaylor2638 I agree that anti Kathleen Kennedy activists ruined the show before it was even released, but Disney is not going to see it that way. Instead what they’ll see is that they can’t try anything new because the fans will hate it. We are once again seeing it with Outlaws, where political activists are hating on the game without even playing it, and Disney is going to interpret the wrong message.
Great to see a fair and positive outlook on Star Wars as it currently is. Subscribed.
Please just have Anakin become the Mortis Father and open a time portal and Thanos snap everything post Return of the Jedi out of existence.
I would have said to keep Mandalorian, but s3 makes me less sure
Well, Rogue One and Andor are a keeper tho...
@@dieselsucker565 Definitely. Although I'm assuming the original post meant everything post RoTJ chronologically in the timeline, rather than anything produced since RoTJ
@@dieselsucker565 and set before return of the Jedi
I’m waiting for an “eating bugs and liking it” twist as soon as I heard great reset 🤣
It's simple erase 7,8,9
The crazy thing is it really is that simple. Put them in an "alternative timeline" and forget them. Then the post RotJ era is wide open again, to do right, hopefully
Would bring a lot of fans back and rake in money
And nearly all shows
Never going to happen
@@robinkiefer6854 Keep Mando and Andor. Scrap the rest. Do that; and what was mentioned above - and "Looks like meat is back on the menu boys."
You shouldn't trust Disney in doing that after Acolyte
Are we still blaming chaepek ffs wake up 😅
I can't with the Mortis Gods.
This. So much this. Legends is the real canon at this point. At least to me. Old republic, Original Trilogy and everything prior to Disney.
that Acolyte has got to be the worst in destroying so much of the lore of star Wars.
Andor will kill it. Everyone please watch it so we get more Andor quality movies/shows.
If you give them money, REGARDLESS of what show it is, they will spend 90% on SJW garbage and 10% to get suckers to keep thinking the should give this new show just one more shot.
Quantity versus quality. They need to think more about that.
Focusing on movies instead of TV literally doesn't matter. They've learned nothing.
@lord_egg This is an incredibly well-articulated and insightful comment. Spot on man.
I find it kinda funny that the two projects I was most interested in on that revieal board of all the planned movies and series were the first ones to be scratched. Rouge Squadron, and Rangers.
Rogue Squadron is still in production.
Bullcrap! fire all the writers and hire some with fresh ideas. Then Maybe.
Can I just say I loved your outro closer and finishing statements, you are a true supporter of the community of Star Wars and a good voice to listen to and take solace in for all us fans - thank you
Once Andor releases, you'll have content for the year - Andor, rewatch Andor, rewatch the first season of Andor followed by the second
Andor is great, The Mandalorian is ok, and the rest is garbage.
Early Mando is great too, imo
There is only one way to succeed. Make LuKE GREAT AGAIN!
Unless it is a hard retcon of 7, 8 and 9 it is just more gas lighting and key jangling.
I TRIED EVERYTHING AND EVERYTIME I FOUND OUT I WASNT GOOD ENOUGH
I fear it may be too little too late. Too many fans have become too apprehensive about being burned.
Exactly! If you keep telling me filet mignon is for dinner, but serve me dog food instead? Eventually I’ll just stop accepting the invitation because I know better.
Disney has lost all credibility as far as Star Wars concerned. The fans have moved on
A Star Wars reset is easy.
Dear god can we quit with Acolyte thumbnails. I really don't think.
That's getting you more views at this point
Make it simple. Start in an era that has not been shown or written about
just release an M18 old republic trilogy and we'll all be happy
I'm still mad that the most promising stuff was cancelled. Rangers of the New Republic, Lando and Rogue Squadron.
As long as consistency is prioritized Star Wars will be pretty successful
Cut DEI crap out of shows and movies that KK want to bring us. She have to go including all of her allies in Lucasfilm.
Santa is white. Jesus is white. And all space aliens are white (and predominantly male). They just are. 😂
🤡
Just responding to your title. Never watched the video. I will never support disney again. I am long past forgiving.

Thanks once again for your time and info.
there is so much good content coming from the old republic era that is no longer cannon, I dont understand why they dont tap into that where there is a compelling story to long term fans while still being friendly to new viewers since there needs to be no prior knowledge of any of the media. darth malgus and nihilus make great antagonists while still being different and refreshing. or even tell a story about palpatines early days as a sith
Dave created the World Between Worlds for a reason. The fact that it’s amounted to nothing so far, just screams that they’re waiting for KK and her loyalists to be gone so they can erase Rey and the Sequel trilogy
not the best time to use Star Wars Explained in a title XD
I’m flat out surprised they cannot make a decent movie aside from Rogue One.
Is Klaus Schwab taking over Star Wars?
All Dismal Disney will do is try to draw out & delay production of Star Bores projects. Bringing And-Bor & Ahsoka back is one thing. No issues with the actors, but a crap script is what it is! The actors can only do so much to off set that! 😊
I got so tired of it that I gave up my Disney+ subscription 2 years ago. Unless they come up with a miracle, I won't be back (same with Marvel)
Your commentary on fan negativity/ positivity is spot on!
Only way this happens is if Apple buys Disney
If these plans were real, there would be no kathleen kennedy at Disney.
Star War should not just only be on streaming but also on DVD as well not ever one can get streaming for any reason, and they should care about they're fans
The prequels, the OG trilogy and rogue one. Ditch the rest
I'm old and dated, but plz explain when and why Disney swapped a simple good, light, selfless vs bar, dark, selfish for some nihilistic version of relativism? Its sad to see every old hero be destroyed for this nonsense
changing up the presentation won't make up for bad ideas; it's oversaturated with that
I stopped watching at 0:55 As long as Kathleen Kennedy has anything to do with SW even remotely, the true fans should boycott it. When Dave Filoni gets 100% of control, than there is a hope.
All of those streaming shows were already slated by Iger when Chapek came on board. Disney Star Wars is in limbo currently. The Rey film appears to have been canceled as well.
Ima make my own Star Wars channel at some point too. Hopefully this great reset will be a good point.
Tbh if they knew how lightsabers work and had good characters and stayed faithful to characters star wars wouldn't have started a decline
“If only saying it made it so.”
Star Wars will only have a reset once it’s no longer in the mouse’s hands
2:26 Yeah, we know it was so low that it made less than a billion dollars, but which film was it?
DISNEY ruined STAR WARS, POTC with Captain Jack Sparrow, and MCU
Weigh. Kennedy, and all of those that had a hand in the destruction are clowns.
Where did you get $280M?
I can see why ppl would cling to an absolute canon, but there is a reason why Batman would probably last 100 years, and Star Wars barely makes it to 50... canon FLEXIBILITY
I really enjoyed the acolyte. Best saber fight scenes in decades.
The so-called “sequels” were a diaster
They lost a significant part of their original hexalogy fans in the new trilogy. Don't blame it on tv shows and streaming, though Acolyte didn't help.
not very high quality story telling with the last show, I couldn't watch it all it was so bad a story. I hope they do better, I have watched star wars for years and would like to see them succeed with new children's G/PG shows
The real money in Star Wars comes from the merchandising. They've easily recouped their money.
